Landed in alicante. Went upstairs to departures out of the exit to the right, at the end is the bus stop for the C6 bus to the centre for roughly €3.
I got off at the beach and walked across to the lift to santa barbara castle. Spent an hour walking around the grounds. Went to Basilica de santa Maria, tickets €6 walked the bell tower. Headed over to mushroom Street to take some pictures and had lunch. Don't remember the name if the restaurant.
Went to the esplanada d'espana and bought magnets and gifts from the stalls. Headed to the beach and sat for a coffee and a glass of wine before getting the same C6 bus back to the airport
It takes longer going back around 30/40 minutes.
